Who is responsible
This website is published by Verona Court Casino Hotel, a lakeside hotel with a land-based casino floor. It is a presentation of the property: rooms, kitchens, the weekly diary, the bathing hall and the Sala Fortuna. Questions about privacy go to [email protected], marked for the data protection contact.
What the site does not do
There is no booking engine, no account to open and no payment page here. The site takes no card details, no identity documents and no gambling activity of any kind. Reservations are made by email or by telephone, outside this website.
What we actually collect
- Nothing, if you only read. Browsing the pages requires no personal data from you.
- Your choices. Your age confirmation and your cookie decision are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
- Technical records. Our hosting provider logs the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser string of each request, as every web server does. These logs exist to keep the site available and secure.
- What you send us. If you write to the address above, we hold your message and your contact details for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the reservation.
Analytics and advertising
With your consent we use Google Analytics and Google advertising tags to count visits, see which pages are read and measure whether our advertising reaches the right people. These set cookies and share a limited set of event data with Google. Until you give consent, the tags run in a denied state and set no such cookies: consent defaults are set to denied before any tag loads, and only your choice changes them. Choosing Essential only keeps it that way.
We never upload your email address, name or any identity document to an advertising platform.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies, which you may refuse or withdraw at any time.
- Legitimate interest — for server logs and for keeping the site secure and working.
- Contract and pre-contract — for handling an enquiry about a stay, a table or an event.
- Legal obligation — where accounting or safety rules require a record to be kept.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for up to twelve months. Email correspondence about a stay is kept for up to three years from the last message, then deleted. Cookie and age-check values live in your browser until you clear them or they expire.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, our email provider and — only with your consent — Google, for analytics and advertising. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass it to anyone else for marketing. Some of these providers operate outside the country in which the hotel stands; where that happens, transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses published by the European Commission.
Your rights
- Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Have a mistake corrected.
- Have your data deleted, where no legal duty obliges us to keep it.
- Object to or restrict a particular use.
- Withdraw cookie consent, by reopening at the bottom of any page.
- Complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.
Children
This site is aimed at adults, and the casino floor it describes begins at 18. We do not knowingly collect anything about a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the review date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on the home page for a month.
